Privacy
Bunch shows your daily game scores to your friends. We keep only what that needs, and we never sell it or use it for ads.
What we store
- The name you choose and your settings.
- Your game results: the share text you paste or the extension sends, with its date. For Krillion, the extension also sends the day's prompts and your answers.
- Your friends and groups.
- Sign-in details: a hashed sign-in cookie, your browser type, passkey public keys, and your Google account ID and email if you sign in with Google.
- Your IP address for up to 10 minutes, to limit pairing-code guesses.
Who sees it
Your name and scores are visible to your friends and the members of your groups. Nobody else.
Your Krillion answers give away that day's prompts, so a friend only sees them once they've posted their own Krillion for the same day.
The Chrome extension
On supported game sites, the extension reads a result's share text when you finish a game and sends it to your Bunch account. On krillion.io it also reads the finished dive Krillion saves in your browser, to send your answers with the score. It doesn't read other pages, your browsing history, or anything else you copy. It keeps its sign-in token, the name of the account it posts as, and unsent results on your computer.
To stop it posting, disconnect it in Bunch's Settings under Devices, or uninstall it.
Our use of information from the extension follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Other services
Bunch runs on Cloudflare and loads fonts from Google Fonts. Both see your IP address when you visit.
We use PostHog to understand how Bunch is used, so we can make it better: which pages you open; when you sign up or in, post or delete a score (which game, and whether it came from the extension), share an invite, open a group, save your account, or connect the extension; which buttons and settings you use (like the day, view or style); and errors the page runs into. If Bunch can't read something you paste, it notes the first three words, so we know which games to add next. With that come counts for your account (how many friends and groups you have) and whether it's saved. It's linked to a number for your account, never your name or email, and includes your browser type and rough location from your IP address. It never includes your results' text, your friends' names, or your invite links.
Deleting your data
You can delete any score from Bunch, and uninstalling the extension removes its data from your computer. To delete your account, email privacy@bunch.games.
